You're invited: Council 81 Drive By Parade to thank AFSCME workers

To Council 81 Blog Subscribers, Presidents, and Executive Board:

We want to show our appreciation to our members and frontline workers across the state of Delaware and we want you to join us! This Thursday, May 14, 2020 please join the Staff from Council 81 as we thank our AFSCME frontline workers at the following locations. You can join us at any one of these locations and bring your own homemade signs, or decorate your car with car paint! These times are estimates and we suggest you arrive 15 minutes in advance, and allow for some time for us to move from facility to facility.

This is not the only day we'll be driving by and showing our thanks, nor are we only doing these facilities. The staff are working behind the scenes to thank all of our AFSCME workers, we'll work to get the next scheduled event to you as soon as we have it. We wanted to make sure we got this first one to you ASAP. If you can't join us on Thursday, May 14 please consider joining us at our next parade, next week! We know this isn't enough and we owe a debt of gratitude to all of our frontline workers, but this is just one small gesture we can show to our members. We have your back, you're our heroes, and we thank you for everything that you're doing! Below is the drive by parade schedule for Thursday, and we'll announce more drive by parades as we schedule them.
